Michigan Reciprocal
Alliance (MRA)
(Since 1992 - see
map below to see what areas NEMBOR members
can access for property
information)
The Northeastern Michigan Board of REALTORS®
participates in the Michigan Reciprocal Alliance (MRA) which allows for
data sharing with several associations at no additional cost to the
members. The MRA began in 1992 with 5 associations and has expanded
over the years to include associations in Northern Michigan and the Upper
Peninsula. The MRA has expanded beyond data sharing to educational
and professional standard cooperatives to bring additional benefits to the
membership at no or lower costs.
Since 2006, the MRA has also been able to sponsor a
hospitality suite at the MAR Annual Convention. This is an excellent
networking opportunity for members of the MRA to meet with each other and
fellow REALTORS® from around the state. It gives REALTORS® from
different locations an opportunity to discuss real estate related issues
that are outside of their primary working areas.
The requirements for MRA access by members of an MRA member Board are as
follows:
-
Primary or Secondary membership in one of the MRA
member Boards
-
Participation/Subscription in one of the MRA member
Board’s Multiple Listing Service
-
Membership in good standing with their association
and MLS
Each association also has its own policy with regard to
the method of access (generic log-in or unique log-in). You may
request access by completing the MRA Application and returning it to the
appropriate association. Application
for MRA Access.
You may place your listings in other association's MLS (guest listings) for a
reasonable fee to allow further exposure of a property. Each
association sets its own fee for entry of a listing from a REALTOR® member
of another association, in accordance with its own MLS policies.
